Many people, who make a decision to visit Netherlands, usually limit their travel to Amsterdam, the capital city. It makes sense, if you have a very limited time, for example it is just a weekend trip. However, it is important to know that Netherlands have many other amazing cities and towns, which are equally interesting and beautiful.
One of such cities in Netherlands is definitely Maastricht, city located in the southern part of the country. It is famous for the Vrijthof square, old for fortifications, Saint Servatius Church as well as the Saint Jan’s Cathedral. Maastricht is also a perfect place for simply chilling out and becoming familiar with the magical atmosphere in the city, as there are many bars and pubs with totally different character. Another extremely interesting city in the Netherlands is Hague, which is often described as the Royal City by the Sea. Why? Simply because there are many Dutch Royalty citizens who live there. In the city there is also the seat of the national government, known as the Binnenhof. There is also Haarlem, city often referred to as the flower city.
