The second most important sight in Poland is the Wawel Royal Castle that is also the second largest castle in Poland located in Krakow, the Malopolska Region. The foundation of the fortress located on the Wawel Hill dates back to the 11th century. However, the Castle has been reconstructed and renovated numerous times due to fires and the destruction of the mansion. Nowadays, it is restored and its interiors look like taken from the golden era of Poland. For those reasons, it became one of the biggest attractions of Poland, not only in Krakow. Tourists are also attracted by the legend of the Wawel’s dragon. What is more, below the castle, there is located the dragon’s den and a huge monument of the dragon.

The last place that is also recommended to visit in Poland is the Książ Castle located in Walbrzych in the south-western part of Poland, in Lower Silesia region. It is one of the largest castles in Poland. The castle was built at the end of the 11th century. Nowadays, it is very carefully restored and is an integral part of the city of Wałbrzych. The Książ Castle consists of an unlimited number of sights, for example a park pavilion, the Old Książ Castle (romantic ruins) or a horse stud. It is worth noting that Wałbrzych has prepared for tourists different routes that lead through the most interesting corners of the city and surrounding areas.
